Feudal Era Battles

SAMURAI II: VENGEANCE is an arcade game created by MADFINGER Games. The arcade game features hack-and-slash gameplay set in the Japanese Feudal Era. Players take the role of a wandering samurai continuing his crusade against evil.

Well Deserved Sequel

SAMURAI II: VENGEANCE is the sequel for the 2009 game Samurai: Way of the Warrior. The prequel was widely recognized for its stylized visuals, tight controls and core gameplay mechanics. In this sequel, payers resume their role as the wandering samurai Daisuke Shimada. He continues his quest after slaying the villainous  Lord Hattoro. One of the henchmen from the prequel, Orochi, gains new power by bonding his soul with the oni Mikaboshi. Daisuke must journey from a seafaring village towards Orochi’s fortress floating in the air.

Vast Improvements From the Prequel

The arcade game features hack-and-slash gameplay with RPG elements. Players can perform slashes, evade with rolling and execute devastating special combos to hordes of enemies. The control options available in the game are the virtual d-pad and external joysticks. Utilizing joysticks can improve the performance of players since it’s more tactile and less damaging to the mobile device screen. Its dynamic camera gives the most optimal perspective for extra variety, at the same time while focusing on key moments. This game features an interactive environment. There are traps lurking in each stage such as spikes and swinging blades. Players have to also deal with platforming sections and solving environmental puzzles. Some objects like barrels are breakable for gaining points. Every successful kill and environmental damage yields point called Karma. Karma is the in-game currency for purchasing new moves, stat upgrades, weapons and special combos that can help players to progress and defeat stronger bosses. Players can expect harder challenges as the game implements an advanced AI system with Action Planning architecture. Enemies become tougher and it focuses more on the combat rather than the tedious moments like fetch quests. The game includes Survival Mode where players can challenge several waves of enemies until their character dies. It is perfect for advanced players who want to take the highest score imaginable. Players can also enjoy listening to the in-game soundtrack with samurai movie themes.

Slash Like a Samurai

SAMURAI II: VENGEANCE brings the best out of every samurai game ever. Players traverse in a very stylized Japanese Feudal Era world while fighting imposing enemies. It has succeeded the prequel since MADFINGER Games has listened to what the fans asked for. Anyone can expect a brutal but awesome swordsmanship comparable to console gaming.
