All-time favorite Sagrada game at your fingertips
A digital mobile version of the classic Sagrada game has been developed by Dire Wolf Digital and published together with Floodgate Games. In this stimulating board game, each player will take turns in choosing a colorful dice to put in aesthetically-pleasing stained-glass windows, and the artisan who’ll craft the most beautiful window in accordance with the restrictions it set will take home the trophy. This fun puzzle game plays out ten rounds of drafting, which typically takes about ten minutes of gameplay.
Challenging dice-drafting game
The twist in Sagrada is that you have to be extra careful in selecting the dice that will perfectly fit each piece in your window, as there are color and number constraints you must follow that the window sets. The game will start with players choosing one out of the four window options that are dealt randomly. Once windows are selected, the game will start. It will feature a snake draft turn of plays wherein the first player will choose one die up until it reaches the last player. For the next turn, the player who made the last selection will be the first one to do it.
The scoring will occur only after the ten rounds are finished. Sagrada’s scoring comes in four phases: public scoring, private scoring, unused stones, and negative points. Public scoring either gives two points for every one-two pair on the player’s board or five points for each column in player’s window—but bear in mind that it must contain no repeating colors. Private scoring is limited in the base game, which only totals the values of a certain color on the board.
Every unused stone left by the player will get them a point at the same time each empty spot on the window will cause negative points. Players can also utilize the tools they earned for using stones. At the start of the game, each player collects stones based on the difficulty of their starting window. It means the more complex window you play, the more stones you get. Keep in mind that this could also mean tougher restrictions on dice placements.
Excellent digitalized game version
Sagrada in its physical form is a fun and mind-boggling game already—thus, its digital version is highly anticipated. With the various game features, challenging gameplay, and satisfying dice-drafting game experience it offers, it manages to live up to the expectations of those who loved to play the physical game form. Although this game will take some time—especially for beginners—to fully understand the mechanics, it will still be worthy to check out.
