Grand Theft Auto with a Spiderman clone
Among the hundreds of superheroes in our pop culture today, no one is more iconic than Spiderman. His charm, wit, and superpowers really make him a hit with the youth. Rope Hero is a more edgy and hardcore version of Spiderman. Rope Hero is an action game developed by Naxeex LLC. It follows a man who uses a special suit equipped with ropes and grappling hooks to swing from building to building like Spiderman. However, he has more in his arsenal than your friendly neighborhood superhero.
Presentation and Graphics
Rope Hero is presented in a 3D, but it’s definitely the lowest aspect of the game. Although the 3D models look great when viewed as static images, the stilted animation makes it all look uncanny. In addition, there backgrounds and environments aren’t very detailed, so the graphics don’t look very realistic.
Its interface is intuitive and easy-to-understand, though. At the bottom-left of the screen is the directional pad and opposite it to the right is the attack pad. At the top-right of the screen are the various status meters for your character.
Gameplay
Despite the game’s protagonist’s main skill being using a grappling hook, it actually factors very little in the actual gameplay. In fact, this game is more reminiscent of Grand Theft Auto more than anything else. As an open-world game, it has little to no story that would give it some semblance of linear progression. The main objective in the game is to get rid of the gangs that are populating the area. To do this, the player can fight, steal cars, climb walls, and more. Players are not really compelled to use the rope-swinging skill that much. In fact, the gameplay is similar to that of Grand Theft Auto.
A Good Time-Killer
Rope Hero has a simple gameplay that anyone will be able to get into quickly. The graphics can be a bit shoddy at times, but it’s certainly not a deal breaker. The combat is still serviceable, and the animation isn’t so jilted as to make the game unplayable. It’s a good time-waster for kids and teens, but be wary of the violence and gore it has.
