Create a cool avatar for your online presence

Whether it’s Facebook, Live Messenger or a Softonic membership, everyone needs an avatar. Why not take things back, Space Invaders-style, with Retro Avatars?

This tiny application does one thing – creates a retro avatar image from your name, or any entered 9 letter word. Unzip the file, open the program, then simply type your name and hit Enter.

You’ll then have a cool looking avatar that you can save by hitting S. All saves are put in the Retro Avatar folder in BMP format. If you want another format, you’ll have to use another program, and save it as whatever you want.

There are no options with Retro Avatar. You can’t choose the color of your avatar, or use over 9 letters. It’s a cool little application, but some may miss not being able to set save destinations or formats.

However, if you want a retro avatar created in milliseconds, you can’t do better than Retro Avatars!
