Free indie crafting and building game
Realm of Rulers is a free indie medieval building game. Collect resources, construct buildings, instruct villagers and explore the land in this early access title.
Ground up
Drawing inspiration from popular titles like Rust, Realm of Rulers is an early access/early alpha title in a very basic state. With the expansive ultimate plan to become an online open world crafting and combat experience despite a two man development team, the game is a long way from being finished. It has been actively updated, however, and is in a promising state. Gameplay is currently limited to collecting resources and crafting pre-built houses for villages who have an extremely buggy AI. Despite these issues and limitations, Realm of Rulers is enjoyable as a slow paced building simulator. Half of the fun and enjoyment comes from the huge glitches which generally cause the villagers to act in a bizarre manner, ignoring commands and walking around aimlessly. Any prospective player should expect crashes, freezes and a generally incomplete experience.
Promising start
Realm of Rulers is the bare bones of a hugely ambitious project which one day may become a decent game. The developers are actively involved with the community, answering questions and discussing issues, but expectations should be accordingly low.
