Realistic Needs and Diseases – A Modpack Worth Checking Out
Realistic Needs and Diseases 2.0 are the follow-up to the popular Realistic Needs and Diseases Mod that first hit the World of Warcraft community back in early 2021. This fantastic mod was developed by a team of World of Warcraft specialists lead by Jad Vigbel, who also served as the creative director for the project. Realistic Needs and Diseases 2.0 brought a number of major features and changes to the game. Some of these changes included the implementation of a new player level cap, overhauled disease and malnutrition rates, added customizable healing capabilities to food, and the ability to harvest plants at a faster rate. It also brought a brand new quest system, which was significantly more comprehensive than its predecessor.
But perhaps the most important addition is the introduction of the very useful AutoRecipes. This handy feature allows players to skip straight to the part where they get recipes for specific items they’re looking for. For example, instead of having to find a list of ingredients to make a potion, you can simply press a button to automatically pick up your things, allowing you to do the entire task in less than 5 seconds. This allows you to spend more time focusing on the tasks at hand, rather than worrying about gathering or brewing ingredients. Jad has also made several tweaks to the QuestHelper system, including improvements to the map and help page, as well as several bug fixes. Overall, this mod is great value for its relatively modest price, and is definitely worth checking out if you loved the original version of RND.
With all of that said, I have to give Realistic Needs and Diseases 2.0 high marks for being one of the most complete and comprehensive mods for the game. The mod doesn’t start with the story improvements from the first installment, but it picks up where RND left off superbly. This mod offers hours of play and a huge number of features. If you loved RND, you’ll love this mod. If you haven’t played it yet, you need to!
