Rathduff National School: A Communication Tool for Parents and Families

Rathduff National School has launched its mobile app to improve communication between the school and parents/families. This Android app, developed by Lettertec Apps, is a free communication tool that allows parents to receive notifications by category, read school news, view the school calendar, access Parents Association updates, view policies, and contact the office.

Located just off the Mallow Road, approximately 17km from Cork City, Rathduff National School is a co-ed school catering to the pupils of Rathduff/Grenagh and surrounding areas. The school currently has 305 pupils, 21 teachers, and 9 SNA’s, and it has grown substantially in recent years with the addition of several classrooms and a state-of-the-art sports hall.

Rathduff National School has achieved its 3rd “Green Flag” and first “Active Flag” and has received the award for “Science and Maths Excellence” for the past number of years. The school participates annually in the “Sciath na Scol” competitions and has done extremely well in recent years. Pupils attend swimming lessons annually in “Leisureworld” Churchfield and gymnastics lessons are held in school for all classes each year. After-school music lessons and French classes are also provided by the Parents Association.
