Download your files without fear of interruption

Rapid File Get is a small and very basic version of a download managing tool.

It lets you download large files from the internet relatively quickly. In addition, you can pause and resume the download as many times as needed. This can be helpful when you have a lot of other programs running or need to step away from your PC for awhile.

Simply copy the URL to the file you want downloaded, paste it into Rapid File Get, and choose the folder that you want it downloaded into. The download should start a moment later and is generally pretty quick to finish, even on files that are quite large. In addition, you can also minimize the Rapid File Get download screen a bit so it doesn’t add additional clutter to your desktop.

One nice feature of Rapid File Get is that you can have an accidental computer restart, or even a power outage, and the program will remember how far into the download it got and continue from there once you power up your PC again.

Unfortunately, Rapid File Get also seems to have a few glitches. Sometimes downloads do not start until you’ve clicked the download button multiple times. In addition, one of the times I paused my download, Rapid File Get did not remember where it left off, and I was stuck having to start the download from the beginning again.
