Ramadan is a holy month of the year in which the Muslim world commemorates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. As with other major religious events, Ramadan is divided into two phases: the first phase lasts from the day of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad until the day of his death, and the second phase lasts from the day of his death until the day of the resurrection.
