Enjoy some fantasy baseball
R.B.I. Baseball 16 invites you to once again take your favorite baseball team to the World Series. Featuring every team from the MLB, if you are a baseball fan then you should find something here to keep you happy – unless you are no good at the game, in which case get ready to watch your guys lose over and over again…
Swing for the fences
Running on more powerful devices R.B.I. Baseball 16 looks fantastic, with smooth animation and a great looking diamond and outfield to really make you feel part of the action. To help with the authenticity, all 30 MLB ballparks are recreated in the game and can be enjoyed for both day and nighttime games.
Fans will be happy to see the huge range of options for their team. From old uniforms, to the ability to customize the roster from a comprehensive list of MLB players, you can make your team look exactly how you want.
A simple virtual stick and contextual onscreen buttons control all of the action. These all response well and are placed so that they do not interfere with your view of the action, there is even space for lots of fascinating stats.
Batting average
One of R.B.I. Baseball 16’s more useful features is the ability simulate the majority of your team’s season if you don’t have time to enjoy it all yourself, only stopping to play key games. It’s a small thing, but if you are busy and just want to enjoy the highlights it’s the perfect way to experience the game.
The issue with this is that if you jump in midseason you may find yourself a little rusty. This is a real problem because, even at the best of times, hitting the tiny ball can be really hard in R.B.I. Baseball 16. This can make tactical plays when batting difficult, and it proves the one thing that was actually better in the 2015 version of the game. That said, the developers do seem to be aware of the issue and improvements are incoming.
MLB’s MVP
Really R.B.I. Baseball 16 has no competition for baseball fans wanting to enjoy the 2016 MLB season on mobile – and while it may not be hitting a perfect game, it certainly puts in a solid showing. If you have a PlayStation or gaming PC then you may find a better experience there, but this is a great choice for baseball fans.
