Enhance Windows Task Manager with new functions
Many PC users complain about the Windows Task Manager being a bit too incomplete in its functionality. If you’re among them, you need Prio.
Prio improves the standard Windows Task Manager by adding some extra functionality to it. The program doesn’t have an interface of its own, it’s just integrated into the regular Task Manager. Simply install Prio and then press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring Windows Task Manager and access the new functions.
The first new element you’ll notice is three new tabs (Users, Services and TCP/IP) added to the Task Manager interface. The first one lists all user active user accounts, the second one shows all currently active system services, and the last one lets you check all network connections. You’ll also see a color code, which helps you identify processes that don’t have a valid digital signature – marked as red.
Another interesting function, which may not be that clear at first sight, is the ability to save the priority setting assigned to a given process, so that you don’t have to configure it every time you launch that program.
Prio may seem a bit too complicated for non-expert users, but will surely be a helpful tool for those who like to have more control over what’s brewing in the system.
