Swing around town in this free game
Poppy Rope Game is a free open-world game developed by Zego Global Publishing. In this Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas meets Poppy Game – It’s Playtime action, you get to play as a character inspired by Huggy Wuggy from the Poppy Playtime franchise. However, you explore a city and destroy all the enemies in your way.
It features good graphics and gameplay mechanics and seemingly borrows elements from different games, making it an interesting sandbox game especially if you’re looking to pass the time by wreaking havoc on everything around you–from harmless civilians to military units.
A mash of many games
At Poppy Rope Game’s home screen, you can choose whether you want a free-roaming GTA Mode or a more objective-based Missions mode. Once you start, you see a plane passing by a city and you can jump anywhere, reminiscent of most battle royale games like Call of Duty: Mobile. Once you land, you find yourself in a typical city. It also has vehicles that you can ride and use.
What makes its gameplay fun is that Huggy Wuggy is equipped with various superpowers. Aside from the titular rope swinging ability like Spiderman, you also have super speed, shooting lasers, and charging and slamming the ground. This comes in handy after starting to destroy property and the law enforcement agencies start to eliminate you. Seeing your superpowered self fight against hordes of normal people makes it fun and challenging.
While it is created as a casual game, it does have objectives and your character can even die. You can watch an ad to revive or start all over again. These objectives and your enemies gradually increase in difficulty as you progress. Its combination of different elements from different properties results in a new and enjoyable game. However, a story could help make it a unique experience altogether.
Unoriginal yet fun
For gamers, it’s easy to spot the various inspirations for the Poppy Rope Game. Though it comes across as unoriginal, it doesn’t get in the way of the game being enjoyable. Being a 13-foot animatronic monster with a host of superpowers going all GTA on an unsuspecting city is a fun premise in itself. Add the challenge of mankind fighting back, and there’s a game you can play for hours.
