Free action-adventure game with a new spin
Poopy Parker is a free action-adventure game loosely based on the Spider-Man character Peter Parker. Created for Ludum Dare – an online event where developers create games from scratch in one weekend – Poopy Parker shares many of the same game physics as the original Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3 games, but puts an undeniably unique spin on the classics; instead of shooting web from his wrists, Poopy Parker shoots, you guessed it, web-poop that’s more anatomically correct when compared to a real spider.
Original indie gaming at its most unique
Created in just 72 hours, Poopy Parker takes a beloved character and turns it on its head in an adventure game that’s as fun as it is easy to play. By using your keyboard, you can shoot web-poop and pull it back using the left and right arrow keys. Using both cuts web off, WASD keys control the direction of your swinging, and the space bar allows you to cling to surfaces. Whether you’ve got a desktop or laptop computer, you’ll already have all the tools necessary to fight crime as Poopy Parker.
Simply storytelling and graphics
Because of its expedited development, Poopy Parker’s graphics are rudimentary, though it adds to the charm of the already silly game. Vibrant colors and shapes outlined in black also help the game retain the comic book visuals of the original Spider-Man comics. Similarly, the storytelling is simple and straightforward with one mission for players to accomplish: after gaining his superpowers from being bitten by a radioactive spider, Poopy Parker must fight bad guys who’ve stolen all the toilet paper to get it back.
Fun for all ages
One of many in a long line of off-brand Spider-Man emulators, Poopy Parker sets itself apart from others by using silly visuals and a simple objective to engage players and keep them entertained for a short but appealing adventure. Basic controls and a simple premise also help make the game accessible to anyone with a computer, experienced gamer or not.
