Police sim game powered by Unreal Engine
Police Simulator: Patrol Duty is a premium simulation game developed by Bigmoon Entertainment for PC. In this realistic simulator, players will get to experience the daily life of a US police officer. They will explore and patrol the streets of an open-world city, and ensure the safety of its citizens.
Just like Contraband Police or Super Police Racing, Police Simulator: Patrol Duty features a police and law enforcement theme. Players will go through the motions, from writing up reports to chasing down suspects, and everything else in between. All of it was realistically recreated using Unreal Engine 4.
Patrolling the streets
Being a police officer is a civic duty that comes with a lot of challenges and perils. It’s a profession that comes with some really thrilling highs and mundane lows. There has been a wave of simulation games about everyday activities and professions that have been a hit with players worldwide. They range from truck-driving to lawn-mowing, and now policing with Police Simulator: Patrol Duty.
In this game, you’ll play as a US police officer in charge of multiple city districts to guard and protect. Explore an open map behind the wheel of three unique patrol vehicles. Access the tools of the trade, including handcuffs, radar guns, radio comms, and many more. Your duties will cover everything, from writing up speeding tickets to establishing checkpoints, and even chasing down and arresting criminals.
You can play the game solo and cover the entire stretch of the city and its various districts. Alternatively, you can play in online two-player co-op mode and work together to chase down leads and respond more quickly to emergencies. Unfortunately, the gameplay experience is far from ideal, with constant crashes and random visual bugs. They are further compounded by the lack of updates for quite some time now.
Game down, requesting backup
It may have beautifully rendered open world and realistic graphics, but Police Simulator: Patrol Duty offers nothing more than eye candy. It has an interesting premise, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The frequent crashes and visual bugs ruin the overall experience. Plus, the lack of updates doesn’t bode well for its future either. Better look elsewhere for something to play.
