Image converter and compression tool
PhotoResizerOK, made by SoftwareOK, is a free photography utility for PC devices. This lightweight photo editor enables users to take their images, and convert them to various formats of their choosing. In addition, it can also be used to compress and reduce their files sizes.
Just like with Pixillion Free Image Converter or Total Image Converter, PhotoResizerOK allows for quick image conversions and size compressions through its simple and intuitive user interface. It’s a portable program, as well, allowing it to be copied over to any USB drive and used on any computer.
How do I use PhotoResizerOK?
When you first open up PhotoResizerOK, you will be presented with a clean and simple user interface. For navigation, there are a total of four tabs to peruse its feature set. To first one is called Options, and this is where you can add a new image via the Import button or simply by drag-and-drop. Once added, you can then set parameters for various options, including image format, resolution, and compression level.
You also get two additional options. The first is either having the program create a temporary folder for your processed images or define a save location that you want. The second is opting to retain any metadata included in the image to the new one. The second tab is called Info, which provides a short guide on how to use PhotoResizerOK, as well as serving as a basic file manager to copy files to and from folders.
Then you have the Watermark section where you can add any text that you want for ownership or credit’s sake. Lastly, if you plan on processing a lot of photos with large file sizes, you will be able to track everything from the Progress tab. While easy enough to learn and use, the UI layout could use improvement for better usability and navigation through menus.
A 2-in-1 combo
All in all, PhotoResizerOK is a good image converting tool that pulls double duty for compression needs, as well. It’s easy-to-use, can process any number of images, and even lets you add watermarks to your images. If you’re looking for a portable and lightweight tool for these purposes, but don’t mind its UI, which needs a little revamping, then give this tool a try.
