Parents Gateway: Convenient Interaction for Parents with MOE Schools

Parents Gateway is a free mobile application developed by the Ministry of Education Singapore that allows parents to interact with schools more conveniently on administrative matters. By using Singpass, parents can stay updated on school’s programme and activities, and receive notifications for new announcements and consent forms. The app is currently only available for mainstream MOE Kindergartens, Primary schools, Secondary schools, and Junior Colleges/Centralised Institute.

Parents Gateway aims to make communication between parents and schools easier and more efficient. However, there are some known issues with the app, such as compatibility issues with Samsung S7 on Android 6 and 7, and inconsistent notifications on Oppo and Huawei devices due to battery optimisation configurations set by the manufacturer. Additionally, enhanced security measures have been put in place for rooted devices, which may block apps such as Lucky Patcher and Rom Manager. Uninstalling these apps will enable users to use Parents Gateway.

Overall, Parents Gateway is a useful tool for parents looking to stay informed and connected with their children’s schools. We appreciate the Ministry of Education Singapore‘s initiative and hope to see more improvements in the future.
