YouTube challenge by Two Star Games
No-Snake Hotel is a free game that was created by Two Star Games in response to a YouTube challenge. The game was created in under 24 hours. It is set in a hotel that prides itself on being free of snakes, though the player soon finds out that the hotel isn’t completely snake-free.
It is a horror game that features a substantial number of jumpscares. So players should be prepared for these, much like other fellow horror games, such as Slender: The Arrival and Slay Bells.
A hotel with no snakes
The player controls a faceless protagonist from a first-person perspective. They are in a hotel that contains many snake-related posters and whose owners are keen to let the world know that there are no snakes in the hotel. The player can go exploring the hotel at their leisure.
Visually impressive
The game features some impressive graphics, especially considering the short time in which it was made. Those parts of the hotel that the player can enter are rendered in high detail, and lighting is effectively used to create a tense atmosphere for the player to move and navigate through the deserted halls and rooms.
A fun but short horror game
No-Snake Hotel is a particularly short game, with the developers claiming around 3-5 minutes of playtime. The simple controls make it a compelling option for anyone looking to try a short horror experience, but there is little beyond that 5-minute experience. Naturally, players who are afraid of snakes should steer clear of this game, even though the game is free.
