Add useful tools to the new tab page
How many times a day do you open a new tab in Firefox? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a more useful page instead of the usual blank space?
New Tab Page is a simple Firefox add-on that replaces the standard blank page you get every time you open a new tab with customizable content that makes your browser more useful – and your browsing more efficient as well.
After installing New Tab Page, your new tab will display a suggestive “What do you want to do next” along with three main options: a list of favorite sites, an embedded Google search field and a direct access to Firefox private browsing mode. The list of sites can be easily customized with the URLs of your most frequently visited websites, like a complement to your bookmarks.
New Tab Page doesn’t really feature anything else – and this is precisely the downside to it: the lack of extra options that would make this extension even more interesting. Let’s just hope the developer works on that in future versions!
