The Network Information Extension Provides Information About Your System’s Connection
The Network Information extension provides information about your system’s connection. It is a tool for developers to measure the performance of their applications. It can work on any device that has Chrome browser. The extension works by sending a request to the server and measuring the response time. The data are measured in megabits per second (Mbps). It works by using the “navigator.connection” API.
The app displays the following information:
Connection type: this is the type of connection you have, such as mobile broadband, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, etc. It also displays the speed in megabits per second (Mbps).Rtt: this is the round trip time, or the time it takes for a message to travel from your device to the server and back.
