Testing Disc Drives

Nero Disc Speed is a free Software Utilities app created by Nero AG. The software works as a CD/DVD-ROM benchmark tester to seek the processing limits of newly integrated disc drivers on a computer. It generates reports of a disc driver’s properties such as transfer rate, seek times, CPU usage, DAE quality, Burst rate and Spinup/spindown time. Users can decide if their CD, CDR/W, DVD-ROM or DVDR/W drive are running smoothly and efficiently. It also allows comparison and reviewing modern disc drives. The software also allows changing of DVD+ bitsetting or booktype to improve DVD type discs.
