Free Video Player With Varying Degrees of Performance

For an even better experience, you can also lock the screen so any unnecessary touch won’t interfere with the video. There’s even an option to stream Youtube videos.
Still Lacking
However, despite the advanced features, MX Video Player doesn’t seem to be a reliable player when in use. It’s prone to crashing while you use it and when the screen sleeps for even just a bit, it already hangs and you need to restart it. The controls rarely respond right for some users. This player is optimized for iOS but it can’t even support AirPlay, despite its other perks with Google, Dropbox, and Youtube. It boasts smoother playback and an audio boost of up to 200%, but while the videos don’t stutter, the app itself struggles to even work straight for a few hours. It’s really a shame because this app supports subtitles and different formats for it, which is uncommon among handheld devices’ media players. It also has a really nice set of themes to go along with its user-friendly interface.

Surprisingly, MX Video Player is still a bit popular for such a problem-prone app. Feel free to try this for yourself and see if your device can tame it. However, it’s still recommended to look for much stabler apps that won’t interrupt your streaming.
