The true hero of Azeroth returns
Murloc RPG Classic is a fan-made game based on the PC game, World of Warcraft. In this game, players can take on the role of a Murloc named Murk, one of the well-loved characters of the popular game. Its gameplay offers turn-based combat and a side-view camera. It also borrowed some features from WOW, including leveling, quests, NPC, and zones. Murloc RPG Classic is still in development so players should expect a few bugs.
What the game offers
The Murloc is a bipedal, amphibious, semi-intelligent, and aggressive race that lives near water. In WOW, players often hunt these creatures for their scales—often in-demand with expert leatherworks. Their fins are also essential in common broths, and they carry a hefty bounty because they tend to terrorize the coastal commerce. However, while there are lots of Murlocs in the original WOW, players cannot use these creatures as their avatar.
Aside from being able to play as a Murloc, Murloc RPG Classic also brings the original gameplay of WOW. Players can experience some of the firsts that the massively multiplayer online RPG offered. Some features included are 20 talents and over 50 classic items. They can also explore Camp Brakil, the Elwin Forest, and even the Mysterious Darkmoon Faire. Players can also complete quests and level up to become the champion—this time, of Murlocs.
Murloc RPG Classic is a full role-playing game made using Flash. As it is now, it offers over one hour of gameplay with a fully developed storyline. More than the short runtime though, there are also quite a few bugs in the game. The game cannot handle dynamic screen changes and comes with a few sound issues. However, as noted, the game is still in development so these things are expected and will be addressed in future updates.
Nostalgia at your fingertips
If you are a fan of the WOW and are enthralled with the golden age of flash games, then Murloc RPG Classic is the game for you. The game brings back the original gameplay and allows you to play one of its well-loved characters. However, the gameplay is short, and there are a few issues that you need to put up with as you play while the game continues development.
