Extension for installing and organizing Firefox plug-ins
As a Firefox user, I always take full advantage of the browser’s extensibility by installing lots of plug-ins. As useful as they are, it can sometimes get a bit overwhelming having so many extensions, and I often find that I have plug-ins installed that perform the same function as each other and those that I never use.
MR Tech Local Install provides a very practical way of managing extensions. It gives you the option to install an extension directly or store them in XPI format in a library.
This actually makes it easier to spot when you have two extensions that perform the same task and monitor your plug-ins more closely.
Local Install made managing my Firefox extensions remarkably simple, especially given the sheer number that I have installed.
Perhaps the app could’ve been improved further by providing suggestions of recommended plug-ins for performing certain tasks, but on the whole it’s the extension to cover all extensions.
The primary goal of this extension is to provide the tools needed to install and manage extensions and themes locally. To do this the extension provides multi-extension installation support, hacking capabilities to the Extension/Theme manager windows, features to find and troubleshoot Extensions/Themes Build, GUID and Profile information.
