Create a majestic tower of men
Mount Your Friends is a hilarious sports video game wherein you and your friends must create the perfect tower using your bodies. Developed by Stegersaurus Software Inc., this 2D multiplayer indie game features silly physics-based gameplay and a boatload of sexual innuendo in its visuals.
Similar to Heave Ho, Mount Your Friends is all about swinging and climbing in order to complete a level. However, this game presents its goal in a more competitive manner as you attempt to create the highest tower possible within the set time limit. It has various game modes and even lets you play solo.
How to play Mount Your Friends?
The premise of Mount Your Friends is simple: reach as high as you can with your limbs to set the next level for your teammates to reach. This continues until your team successfully reaches past the required height—and you can keep going to see how far you can go with the individual time limits for climbing. Basically, you’re going to create a tower of semi-nude buff cartoon men.
The hilarity in this game comes from both the cartoony models and the wonky physics of their limbs. In true QWOP style, you must control both the hands and feet of your character in order to make them move and grab onto things. Fortunately, it’s not as rage-inducing as that and Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy. It’s highly entertaining to watch—even though it isn’t exactly appropriate for younger players.
There are various game modes available. In the main menu, you can access modes such as Challenges, 1 VS 1, and Tournament. For solo play, you can try out modes like 5-Minute Dash and Long Distance Climb. It’s easy enough since it supports both controllers and keyboards. However, the main issue with this game is that it can get repetitive after a while despite the multitude of game modes.
Funny even if you don’t win
All in all, Mount Your Friends is a great 2D game to try out if you want something a little silly to play with friends. Mature jokes aside, it’s challenging enough for a player of any experience but it’s also easy enough to not actively punish them as they attempt to beat the levels. You can also try to compete in the leaderboards for the fastest time and highest climbed towers.
