What is mindfulness?
It’s the practice of paying attention to the present moment, and seeing things from a different perspective. In the same way that you might see a number on a clock, you can see the number of seconds passing by. And when you do, you have the choice to be aware of them or to ignore them.
When we practice mindfulness, we are trying to observe our thoughts and not get caught up in them. This is difficult, especially in the busy and stressful life we lead today.
What is the impact of mindfulness?
By learning to observe and see our thoughts and feelings from a different perspective, we are able to change them.
We also learn to be more aware of the present moment and how it is affecting us. We learn to live in the present moment and not be caught up in our thoughts and feelings about the past or the future.
