Clean up traces of your internet activity
There are now literally hundreds of applications devoted to cleaning up after our tracks and Mil Shield 5.5 is another addition to your toolbox against invasion of privacy.
The thing that makes this program slightly different from other similar programs is that it is highly customizable in that it allows you to scan only certain parts of your system that you want scanned. For example, the program supports selective cleaning of your Internet browsing and auto cleaning when your PC is switched on, turned off or when closing your browser. This includes the deletion of files that are sometimes left behind by other programs such as the index.dat file that contain a whole host of information and data that a user in the know could use to discover exactly what, where and when you were looking at a particular site.
I like the way you can easily excluded certain cached files from a particular site (that help speed up browsing time) plus there’s a “panic” button in case you suddenly need to clean things in a hurry. The GUI is well designed and it feels professional. Where the program used to fall down however was that it ignored DVD based applications so your viewing history could still be uncovered although this has been changed in the latest releases so that it supports programs such as CyberDVD and WinDVD which were previously ignored.
A highly customizable cleaner that’s packaged in a good looking interface and seems to do it’s job efficiently, if a little slowly at times.

Your computer keeps extensive information about what you have done, what documents, pictures or video files you have opened and which web sites you have visited. This means that virtually anyone can see what you have been doing on your computer, which raises severe privacy concerns.
Mil Shield 5.5 is the answer of all privacy questions. It protects your privacy by removing all tracks from your online or offline computer activities. Mil Shield also shreds the content of the infamous INDEX.DAT files.
