Metal Wolf Chaos XD is an action game developed by FromSoftware, Inc. The game was first released in 2004 for the PlayStation 2. It was recognized for its over-the-top action and mecha battles similar to FromSoftware’s Armored Core series. The game follows as President Michael Wilson battles the coup d’etat instigated by Vice President Richard Hawk. President Wilson rides a giant mecha and must uphold his duty as the 47th American President, by any means necessary. The game includes contents like missions, timed battles, hostage rescue, and upgrades. Players can perform successive combos for a higher score and earned scores are used to upgrade President Wilson’s mecha. Each stage features recognizable American landmarks. This version is re-released by General Arcade and Devolver Digital for the modern platform. It comes with better visual fidelity, and 4K + 16:9 support for accommodating modern displays. The game improves the controls and gameplay mechanics and its save system gets revamped, as well.
