Send quirky warriors into battle
Merge Master: Alphabet Number is a free game of strategy. A host of weird characters must battle against each other, and your job is to make sure your team wins. This game is not intended to have an educational function.
As it uses letters and numbers as characters, the app could easily be mistaken for an educational title, like Preschool ABC Number and Letter Puzzle Games and Elmo Loves ABCs. However, the alphabetic and numeric aspects are just part of the game’s oddball sense of humor.
Crazy team battles
A round in Merge Master: Alphabet Number will begin with the player character facing off against the opponents. Your job is to arrange the pieces on the board by hiring your fighters and choosing the best positions. Once you have done so, click “start fight,” and the teams will go head-to-head.
Automatic battles, but strategy first
After you click “start fight,” the game’s battles run automatically. Some characters, including the main fighter, will run toward their opponents and attack hand-to-hand, while others will stand back and shoot projectiles. The main strategy is to position the fighters in the right places for the best effect; for example, by putting ranged fighters nearer the back.
Has a sense of cartoonish humor
Merge Master: Alphabet Number is a game with a sense of humor, using a cast of wacky characters. In the player’s army, hand-to-hand fighters are shaped like letters, while ranged warriors are numbers. The fights are slapstick affairs, with the combatants making cartoonish whacks and groan noises as they attack.
Simple strategy
The game starts out easy, and even when it begins to get trickier, the gameplay remains simplistic. As the levels progress, you will face tougher opponents who are defeated in the same way: by bulking out your team. It is also possible to unlock stronger characters. The simplicity makes Merge Master: Alphabet Number an appropriate strategy game for children.
