Newest Features in DayZ Mod – Locational Damage
This is a new feature that I made for myself, so I thought I’d share it with everybody else. This feature adds a lot of realism to the game with the use of terrain generated objects and detailed collision. It also adds a lot of features like disorientation after touching something that normally wouldn’t register, and also dust particles that are blown around the map while you are moving. I personally don’t think its very good, not because of these effects, but because the whole thing looks kind of unfinished. That’s why I started making my own terrain generators, that I can use in the game to create similar effects to those created by creators of this mod.
The problem with all those mods is their overuse. They end up becoming a bit redundant, and in a way they are kind of cheating. Because they are supposed to be supporting a more realistic playstyle, they end up creating effects and features that aren’t that great, just because they were already available as part of the main game. So I decided to make my own, that can be used alongside official mods, to provide the same kind of enhancements and improvements.
This new feature change has received a lot of positive feedback from users, and the mod is now widely used. I also changed the way it works, so now you can get three or more body zones for a certain location by simply switching the key you use to switch to that body zone. This way people can experience what I’m talking about without having to do any extra things and can instead enjoy the benefits of my mod. In my opinion, this was one of my best work so far, and the way I made that terrain generator was mostly inspired by the popular DayZ mod. So if you want to experience a similar kind of realism, try using the new effects and features of my mod, Locational Damage.
