LIFELIKE: A Mixture of Fantasy and Science Fiction

LIFELIKE is a role-playing game developed by mntsstudio and available for Windows platform. The game is set in the late 2000s and features a mix of fantasy and science fiction. The story revolves around Nathan Weeks, a local appliance store owner, who was experimenting with magic to create a Lifelike, an impossible magical being in a robotic body comparable to a human. After his death, living appliances suddenly took over the rural streets of Greenbury, Ohio.

In the game, players take on the role of Nathan’s grandchild, Leo, who is falsely blamed for the appliances. Leo must trounce toasters, lamps, and other misbehaving machinery as he responds to a weird call for help at the condemned appliance store. The game features turn-based magic attacks that adapt real-life wave behavior into fast-paced action-command style combat. Players can defend against attacks and send them back to deal more damage, even during enemy phases. Purchasing LIFELIKE extends to all future episodes of the game released to Steam, making it a preorder with some content up front.
