App for checking weather conditions
LEX18 Storm Tracker Weather is a free weather app by The E.W. Scripps Company. It provides weather and temperature forecasts in the United States and other parts of the world. It also comes with a high-quality map that can be customized to suit your needs and preferences. In case of severe weather conditions, you’ll receive notifications from the National Weather Service.
This way, you can better prepare for a natural disaster and ensure your safety. However, LEX18 Storm Tracker Weather can sometimes show inaccurate or delayed forecasts. Additionally, it only works if you live in the U.S.
Comprehensive and customizable
LEX 18 is an affiliate of NBC (National Broadcasting Company) providing the latest news and updates to viewers in Lexington, Kentucky. With LEX18 Storm Tracker Weather, you’ll gain access to seven-day and hour-by-hour weather and temperature forecasts not just in Lexington or all US states, but also in other countries. A map is provided to help you understand the meteorological features of a particular region.
The map boasts plenty of customization options. For instance, when you tap the three-bar button and select Weather Conditions, you can choose which weather feature you want to show on the map, which includes “Precipitation (Radar),” “Clouds (Satellite),” and many more. What’s great about it is that you can set the transparency up to 50%. It also comes with three map types: Dark map,Satellite, and Light map.
Moreover, you can enable notifications for a maximum of 10 locations so you’re always abreast of current weather conditions. Not only that, a nickname for places can be set for personalization. For example, you can write “home” if you live in Kentucky. In this app, you no longer have to tune in to your television as it provides weather videos, severe weather live streams, and news on closings and delays.
For US users
LEX18 Storm Tracker Weather offers detailed local and international weather and temperature forecasts for up to one week. You can set a nickname to a particular location or even add a particular weather feature like “Precipitation (Radar)” — all of which are great customization options. However, despite these features, there are instances of delayed or incorrect weather forecasts. Also, the app won’t work if you live outside of the US.
