Lat/Long & UTM is a free utility for converting latitude and longitude coordinates from a given location into a corresponding set of coordinates in the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) coordinate system. It provides both an online and offline option for users to choose from among the different map types such as terrain, street, satellite, or hybrid. The conversion can be performed in either the northern or southern hemisphere, and can be used for either the United States or Canada. The app is based on the WGS84 projection, which is the common, modern-day geospatial-reference system used for most of the world.
The app allows users to see their location on the map in UTM coordinates and also view the location of a point in the world in that same UTM coordinate system. The user can also choose to view the location of the point in the world in terms of its latitude and longitude, or its longitude and latitude.
The app can be used for many purposes. It is a simple and convenient tool for users to use for planning trips to different parts of the world. It is also useful for locating points on a map. The user can also use it for land surveying, map creation, and other projects that require the use of UTM coordinates.
