With this app, you don’t need to root your phone or tablet, but it does require an NTFS, ExFAT, or FAT32 formatted USB drive.

This version of the app can play videos from streaming video sites like YouTube and Google Play Movies on mobile devices that support USB host mode. It also allows you to stream music and images from connected devices via WiFi or LTE/5G networks.

The built-in player supports all standard file formats, including PNG images and JPEGs, GIFs, BMPs, and more. You can also use the built-in player with supported image formats to create slideshows on your TV using gestures like swiping right or left across pictures in the same folder. The built-in music player has similar features and controls for controlling volume levels when playing music through an app like Spotify or SoundCloud.
