Holo Dungeon is based on Ame’s First AI Dungeon stream. If you have watched the video, you will find the same shenanigans that happened there. The difference is that you will be able to control Ame. Note, however, that this is a fan-made game. Expect a short run time and a few glitches.
What is Holo Dungeon about?
Holo Dungeon is a fan game based on a video stream. It is set in the kingdom of Chicago and features Hololive’s ace detective Amelia Watson. Here, you will play as Ame, who is on the trail of a wanted criminal. Your pursuit will lead you to a Chicago forest. Armed with your pistol and your badge, you will enter the forest and search for the wanted man.
The game combines walking around a map of the forest and interacting with other characters via on-screen text messages. It comes with simple controls using your keyboard. WASD and arrow keys allow you to move while pressing shift lets you run. The Z key, on the other hand, lets you interact with the objects in the game. Finally, pressing the ESC button allows you to open the game menu.
Holo Dungeon takes you back to the era of 8-bit graphics and sound. With this, expect a rather old-school gaming experience. More than that, the game puts emphasis on high-resolution graphics and light-speed gameplay. Although, there is a bit of an issue to encounter; sometimes, the key for interacting does not work. Moreover, there are bugs with the music, and the encounter rate is too high.
Is the game good?
Overall, Holo Dungeon is a fun game, especially if you are a fan of Hololive’s videos. Here, you can experience all that happened in Ame’s dungeon stream. The controls are simple to learn, and the gameplay is at a sedate pace. Some glitches affect the performance of the game. Nevertheless, it is an entertaining point-and-click adventure. If only the game’s run time was not that short.
