Explore A Hollow Satellite On A Hollow World.

Hollow is an adventure game and a first person shooter. In it, you take the role of a male employee living on Shakhter-One, a futuristic space station that mines resources from the atmosphere of Jupiter. Earth, once resource-starved and on its knees, has made a slow recovery, as Shakhter-One’s facilities allow it to survive without coal and oil. And Shakhter-One is, by all indications it’s given, a great place to work. But some things aren’t quite right…

A Simple Life Pitted With Deep Holes

In reality, Shakhter-One is not a safe place for the protagonist, physically or mentally. He and those few who lasted for long on Shakter-One talk of a sense of dread, of having done this for so long that they’ve forgotten parts of them, of having already lost to something unknown: of being hollow. It is this that drives the story, as the protagonist searches for both safety and purpose. Strange foes, not always identifiable as human, lurk around every darkened corner. The game is notable for allowing multiple approaches: you can confront foes indirectly, via the environment, or run and gun against the game. And the game offers multiple choices, and multiple endings, for how your version of the protagonist handles his situation.

How Will You Survive?

Overall, Hollow shapes itself to be a good game for anyone who enjoys survival-oriented shooters and psychological horror. If you’ve enjoyed other first-person shooter, you might enjoy Hollow.
