Game that features potato soldiers
Hero Making Tycoon is a free-to-download idle game wherein you send out cute potato soldiers to attack beasts and monsters. It features a stage-based system, with each level becoming more difficult than the previous one. Boss fights have a 20-second time limit, though. If you can’t defeat a boss within the said time frame, you can rechallenge it once your soldiers have become stronger.
Gold coins are earned for every enemy the soldiers have felled, while diamonds are obtained by completing tasks. Although you can play Hero Making Tycoon at your own pace, do expect to grind coins for upgrades.
Strengthen your troops
Casual games like Hero Making Tycoon are perfect for players who want a title that’s easy to pick up and play. In this game, you’re responsible for dispatching sword-wielding potato soldiers to defeat regular enemies and bosses. Each one has a health bar that depletes every time they get hit. You can’t revive fallen soldiers as the game will automatically produce another potato soldier in their stead.
The potatoes’ attack level can be improved by heading to the weapon terminal, allowing them to slay stronger bosses. Defeats are inevitable, though. Hence, if you keep losing to the same boss, it’s a sign that your troops need an attack upgrade. As this game is a test of patience, it will take time to earn the required amount of gold coins for upgrades and other unlockables.
As you progress in the game, you’ll be able to unlock and deploy archers, infantries, wizards, and many more—making battles more manageable. Some features such as “Manager” and “Tower” are only available after completing Stage 30 and Stage 32, respectively. Although this is a casual game, some players can perceive its progression system as too slow and grindy. Unfortunately, uninstalling the app will permanently delete your progress.
Involves a lot of grinding
Hero Making Tycoon is a great idle title to try, featuring adorable potato soldiers that become stronger with each upgrade—allowing them to eliminate foes with ease. As upgrades are the game’s bread and butter, grinding gold coins is definitely a must. However, it has a slow progression system that can put off certain gamers. Also, you can’t restore your progress once the game is uninstalled.
