Hear2Read R2 Telugu Text To Speech Female voice
The Hear2Read R2 Telugu Text To Speech Female voice app is designed to assist visually impaired individuals in reading books, websites, emails, text files, Word documents, SMS texts, Facebook postings, and WhatsApp messages by listening to speech output. This app is also useful for sighted users who prefer listening to text rather than reading it.
Using the Android TTS service APIs, the Hear2Read app provides TTS service to any app that supports speech output. The TTS engine runs as a background service and is available to any app, including Talkback, on Android devices such as smartphones and tablets.
This updated version, Release 2.0, separates the TTS engine and Telugu voice into separate apps. This app contains the voice database and prompts users to install the Release 2 TTS Engine from the Play Store. Once the TTS Engine is installed, users can install additional Hear2Read voices. The shared TTS Engine requires devices with at least 1 GB RAM and a quad-core CPU, regardless of the number of Hear2Read voices installed.
In this release, the Telugu male voice has been replaced with a female voice based on user feedback. Users who have tried both voices preferred the female voice.
Please note that the Hear2Read app includes a demo page for listening to example sentences, but it is not intended for standalone use. For reading longer texts such as books or websites, it is recommended to use the Talkback feature (for visually impaired users) or other screen reading apps like @Voice Aloud Reader.
