A tribute to the classic FPS game

Half-Life: Brutal Half-Life Mod is a free game utility developed by zoonyarts for one of your favorite classic first-person shooting game, Half-Life. This mod software offers truckloads of extra, fixed, and changed game features from the FPS masterpiece. This release is in public beta 2—although it is stable enough, it still requires more work in some areas.

What was changed, fixed, and added

The developer added a lot of extra features in this mod. You can now use a chapter selection map, with four fresh maps added based on the prime FPS game. Its provided weapons were increased as it now includes fists, a Desert Eagle from Opposing Force, a hyper blaster from Quake 2, a plasma rifle from Doom, and a rocket launcher from Quake 1. More dual weapons can be expected here such as Glock, MP5, 357, and Desert Eagle. Not only that but you’ll also notice various armor animations and some of your weapon attacks will result in a physical reaction.

Other than the tons of additions in the game’s weaponry, it also provides more fluid forms for blood like splashes, drips, and streams. What changed under this mod is that you can now spawn infinite monsters in the zoo and your unlimited allies can also follow you everywhere. The crowbar decals are back, the blood decals are altered, while bullet holes are re-edited. The mod also improved rocket trails and added skill balancing. On top of that, ground-dying animations have an ending now.

Many issues were also fixed through this mod. For instance, the crashing of hornets is patched already. The ambiguous crosshairs are now more visible than ever. Moreover, islave, alien grunt, and controller skins are completed in this utility mod.

More ruthless and addictive Half-Life gameplay

Half-Life: Brutal Half-Life Mod is a highly-recommended mod game for Half-Life, especially if you want to modify this game to have more brutal and action-packed gameplay. With the various game features added, changed, and fixed—particularly in the armory area—this makes this mod program extremely exciting to have. However, this is still in the beta version thus, you can expect that there are still game details that need to be worked on.
