Defend your base in EVE: Gunjack
EVE: Gunjack is a turret defense game set in the same universe as online RPG EVE Online and space combat game EVE: Valkyrie. In this game, you play as the gunner of a defense turret trying to protect a space station from pirates, asteroids and other hazards.
A simple defense shooter
EVE: Gunjack isn’t a complicated game. You get into the cockpit of your gun turret, enemies or threats come toward your station, and you blow them up with your guns. Instead of using a controller, this game uses head tracking to aim your weapons; the tracking is smooth and the system is easy to learn. With 20 relatively short main missions and two bonus missions, EVE: Gunjack isn’t a long game. This is good, in a way, because the missions, which are fundamentally pretty similar, would start to get repetitive before long. A lot of the fun comes from immersing yourself in the richly detailed environments of the game.
Simple but enjoyable
EVE: Gunjack isn’t especially long or complex — although the later levels will challenge your reflexes — but passing the time zapping bad guys in its beautifully realised science-fiction environments is still an enjoyable way to spend a little time.
