A free game where you explore islands and create your own quests
Guild Quest is a casual free-to-play game that is known in the gaming community as a click-and-wait game. You set up your castles and characters and then have to wait for a certain amount of time before being able to use them. The general idea is that if you enjoy the game, then you will pay to avoid grinding, which means you pay to speed the game up.
Explore islands and set up quests
There are several ways you may play the game. For example, you may play conservatively and simply explore as part of a quest, or you may build your forces and embark on battle quests. The rewards you receive are based on how risky your quest is, and with your rewards you are able to upgrade your characters and castles with cards. Cards offer a permanent boost to whatever you apply them to, such as applying a card to a guildian class in order to make it stronger or more efficient for the task in hand. Guild Quest will make you wait before allowing you to enjoy the game. You will spend the first hour gleefully clicking to upgrade before suddenly it becomes a big screeching grind.
Only suitable for paying players or people who do not mind the grind
The biggest flaw with the game is that it demands money from you if you wish to play quickly without having to wait for units to spawn and upgrades to finish. For example, you may set an upgrade and have to wait a week for it to complete. In that sense, the more you do to fortify your position, then the longer you have to wait unless you are willing to pay. Guild Quest is only suitable for people who wish to pay-to-play, or for people who are willing to put the game down and play it more on a weekly basis.
