Drive and drift in GTA 5
GTA Drift Mod is a free user-created mod for Grand Theft Auto V that allows you to control the drift mechanics in the game. This game utility adds advanced controls that help you make those sharp and tire-burning drifts, letting you experience the thrill but giving you better control of the movements.
GTA Drift Mod joins other must-have mods for GTA 5 like GTA 5 Gore Mod and GTA 5 Realistic Blood and Decals Mod. This one lets you experience drifting with game mechanics comparable to dedicated racing games such as those from the Need for Speed or Asphalt franchises.
A convenient, lightweight tool
What makes GTA Drift Mod significantly smaller in file size–only 25 KB when downloaded–is that its script only modifies existing in-game files instead of writing an entirely new script to achieve the same effect. Additionally, it’s convenient to use since you only need to hop into any car and press F5 to activate or deactivate the mod. It lets you control parameters such as maximum steer angle and handbrake force.
The mod also lets you choose between Wheelie, Drift, and 4X4 modes, each made for a different handling experience. For example, wheelies let you raise the front wheels of your car off the ground, making your car appear like it’s standing. The mod even allows you to Reduce Damage, which is perfect for beginners by letting you make mistakes and your car last longer.
Of course, since it was created with a specific GTA 5 version in mind, the mod doesn’t work for all versions of the game. Also, there are a few glitches such as leaving a car forever in drift, wheelie, or 4×4 mode if you exit the vehicle first before the mod. You should remember to turn off the mod first if you plan to use it normally next time.
For precise car control
If you’re looking to configure the car handling to suit different applications, GTA Drift Mod is a good place to start. It has a small file size, it’s barely even there, and it’s easy to activate and deactivate. You can experiment with it and last longer, thanks to the Reduce Damage feature. It has slight glitches but doesn’t affect the overall experience. Highly recommended.
