Multiplayer action defense game
Graveyard Shift 2 is a free action title for PC by an indie developer who goes by Jasozz. It is a multiplayer first-person defense horror game set in a graveyard in the dead of night. In it, players will have to defend and chase away kids who are vandalizing their gravestones.
Similar to Five Nights at Freddy’s, Graveyard Shift 2 employs a spooky theme to it, but with a cartoonish art style that makes for an interesting experience. It supports up to four-player co-op and pits players against a variety of enemies to face and drive away.
Disturbing the dead
Graveyard Shift 2 takes place in a spooky graveyard during Halloween, and some neighborhood rascals are vandalizing and taking down gravestones for some twisted fun. Not looking to take things lying down, you and some of your skeleton friends rise up and drive away the unwanted visitors and anyone else who is a threat to the peace and quiet of your resting place.
To deal with your unwanted visitors, you’ll be slapping and throwing them solo or in four-player co-op. Drive them all away before the gravestones are destroyed. Things escalate quickly and their annoyed parents get involved. Even the army will send in troops and helicopters to deal with the chaos. Smack, jump, and slide your way through it all while maintaining your calcium level i.e. your “health.”
The game offers two game modes, namely the Infinity Wave Mode and standard Graveyard Defense Mode, which comprises 10 waves culminating in an epic boss fight at the end. Just be aware of one thing before checking it out. Development for it has been on and off for a few years now. The developer mentions fixing game-breaking bugs, but that’s about all you can expect.
A wacky time
If you’re looking for a game to play with friends, Graveyard Shift 2 is a humorous little timewaster to give a try. Its premise and controls are simple, but the gameplay itself is fun and hilarious. Its two game modes offer some variety and the whole experience is just plain good time. Hopefully, it receives more content updates in the future. Recommended.
