Create personalized fractals for beautiful wallpapers
With Fraqtive, you can play with Mandelbrot fractals, creating and editing their parameters, changing tones and shades and creating beautiful fractal art in the process.
If you are a mathematician you will probably understand what all of Fraqtive’s parameters stand for and what you can obtain by changing the X and Y values, the zoom factor and the rotation angle. If you are just curious, play around with the settings and see what happens.
Fraqtive also features a 3D rendering engine, which you can rotate with the mouse and zoom in and out. Unfortunately, unlike the 2D rendering where you can zoom in an infinite number of times, in Fraqtive’s 3D mode, you have a section of the fractal to play with, but it doesn’t recalculate itself if you try to enlarge the image.
Fraqtive allows you to create personalized fractals in order to take screenshots for your mathematical studies or, more commonly, for beautiful wallpapers.

Fraqtive is an open source, multi-platform generator of the Mandelbrot family fractals. It uses very fast algorithms supporting SSE2 and multi-core processors. It generates high quality anti-aliased images and renders 3D scenes using OpenGL. It allows real-time navigation and dynamic generation of the Julia fractal preview.
Fraqtive is available for both Windows and Linux under the GNU General Public License.
