Share Files Online Without Worrying About Security Breaches
Firefox Send is a service that makes sharing files safe and secure. The end-to-end encryption and the fact that the share link expires automatically after some time set Firefox Send apart from similar services.
Working Mechanism
To get started, sign up with the service and create a free account. Once done, you can send files of up to 2.5GB. Upload the file to send and you will get a link that you can share with people who you want to send the uploaded files to. You can choose the number of days to keep the link active. You may even password-protect the file – the credentials for the same can be added before the upload. Those who get the link can download the file link to their devices.
Solid Encryption
Send employs end-to-end encryption, so that the data shared goes under the security cover as soon as it’s shared and till the file is opened. Also, you can set security controls. Besides letting you choose the expiry date, you can also determine how many times the file(s) can be downloaded and add an additional password for additional security. The service has been under an extended testing period. This means you can be almost certain about its efficacy. During the test period, the file size limit was 1GB. It has now been pushed up by 1.5GB to 2GB.
