FIFA 17 promises to change soccer forever!

FIFA 17 (or FIFA 2017) will launch this September, promising some big changes to its former versions: we say goodbye to the graphics engine Ignite (which didn’t last that long), and give a warm welcome to DICE’s famous Frostbite technology.

Frostbite: You won’t forget the name

What do Star Wars Battlefront, Mirror’s Edge and Battlefield 4 all have in common? Well, the three games all boast incredible graphics thanks to Frostbite technology from DICE. This indicates that all FIFA games of the future will also have amazing graphics, as FIFA 17 will be the first of many to use Frostbite as of September.

“Frostbite unlocks a whole new world of possibilities for the EA Sports FIFA franchise and its fans,” explains EA. “We have never been so excited as we are now for football and the experience that FIFA 17 offers.”

It’s expected that the gameplay improvements will follow suit, by introducing more showmanship at the expense of the realism.

FIFA 17 will also leave behind an already-classic addition to the series, as the official face of the game, Messi, will be replaced by not one, but four familiar faces: James Rodriguez from Real Madrid, Anthony Martial from Manchester United, Eden Hazard from Chelsea and Marcus Reus from Borussia Dortmund. All the characters have received special treatment from EA, so that their movements, gestures and faces appear as realistic as possible in the game. Do you already have a favorite?

If you love to create your own dream team, don’t worry: FIFA Ultimate Team is back with new features and of course, hundreds and hundreds of those virtual envelopes waiting to be opened.

Soccer will change in September

FIFA 17, by EA Vancouver will be released on September 29 for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. As always, it’ll be competing against PES 2017, which is due to be released around the same time.
