Fibbage XL is the stand-alone version of the bluffing game from The Jackbox Party Pack. It will have the same mechanics as the original version. With this, fans won’t need any learning curve. It also supports up to eight players, perfect for hanging out with family or friends. Although, the game is in English only and is a local multiplayer.
How do you play this game?
Fibbage XL is a spin-off game from the popular Jackbox series. As mentioned, the point of this game is to identify the true statements from a group of lies that the players provide. Here, the snarky host, Cookie Masterson, will ask players to select a topic. He will then ask a question. However, instead of coming up with an answer, each player must lie to throw off the other players.
Once every player has entered their suggestion, the game will move to the next phase. This time, you will try to select the correct answer. If you choose the fib, the person who wrote it gets the point. Although, getting the correct answer will mean a larger point. Players will go through three rounds before the final winner is decided. Of course, the player with the most points will win.
Fibbage XL comes with tons of questions, and the host occasionally cracks some jokes to make the situation more fun. However, over time, some of the questions are repeated. Additionally, each round is relatively quick, lasting only for 15 minutes. There are also crude contents not suitable for children. Although, there is a family-friendly filter that you can use when you wish to play with younger players.
Should you play it?
Overall, Fibbage XL is a fun party game if you are into trivia. The gameplay is simple and can be played by up to eight people. It also has tons of silly questions, keeping you and your family or friends entertained for hours. However, each round is short, and some questions are repeated. Moreover, the game is limited to English only.
