“Evil is Back” Game Review

“Evil is Back” is a Windows game developed by 616 GAMES. It is a retelling of the classic horror movies “Evil Dead 1 and 2”, with a low budget short film feel to it. The game is designed for fans of 80’s trash horror movies and offers a shooter gameplay with combat and survival elements.

The game follows Scott and his friends who are spending the weekend in a cabin in the woods. They accidentally recite some words from an old book they find, which opens a portal to the world of the dead, bringing death and destruction to all who are there. The player must use a sawed-off shotgun and a chainsaw to eliminate grotesque creatures and solve a few puzzles.

The game is played in first-person mode and can only be controlled using a mouse and a keyboard. Since the graphics are inspired by 80’s horror movies, the game has that a unique retro feel, which is a treat to fans of the genre.
