Evie – The eVoice book reader

Evie is a free book reader app for Android that uses Text To Speech (TTS) technologies to transform written text into an audible narration. The app offers a range of features that make it easy to listen to a book while commuting, working out, or even when working in your garden. You can also listen to a book while going to sleep, as Evie can read out loud even in the background or with the screen turned off.

Evie integrates with your earphones, either Bluetooth or wired, and with your car stereo via Bluetooth, allowing you to play, pause, and skip forward or backward from your car’s buttons. You can also control the app from your lock screen or notifications drawer. Evie offers an equalizer to fine-tune the sound the way you like it.
