Room escape puzzler for PC

Escape Simulator is a premium puzzle game that was developed by Pine Studio for PC. This first-person puzzler lets players explore and interact with various escape rooms to figure out how to exit out of them. It can be played solo or in online co-op mode with up to 3 players.

Compared to similar games like Escape First or We Were Here Together, Escape Simulator features a lighter tone and a 3D cartoon-like art style. It places more emphasis on realistic puzzles and fun and interactive gameplay experience for players. It even supports community-made rooms in some of its levels.

How do I play it?

Escape rooms are fun and interactive experiences to be had with friends IRL, but that doesn’t mean that the same can’t be done virtually, and this is exactly what Escape Simulator is trying to achieve. The first thing that you’ll notice is its rather distinct look. Where others try for realistic and somewhat clinical presentation, it goes in the opposite direction with a more cartoonish art style.

Don’t let that fool you, though, as Escape Simulator is all about realistic and intriguing puzzles. It features 15 rooms that were designed by real-life escape room operators. Pretty much anything that is not nailed to a wall can be interacted with. Examine objects, read text, or move things around. Anything is fair game to help you solve the puzzles and riddles you’ll encounter.

You don’t lose out on the multiplayer aspect either since it offers online co-op with up to 3 players. Some community rooms can even host up to 20 people for more chaotic fun. It’s not with a few hiccups, though. There are occasional visual glitches at times, but more importantly, the game does not offer that much in the way of content—thank you, user-generated content.

Potential for something greater

Escape Simulator is a great puzzler that is worth considering. It doesn’t take itself too seriously and is just a fun way to bond and play with friends and family. Its cartoonish presentation works in its favor and the constant influx of user-generated content means that you’ll always have something new to look forward to. Recommended.
