Enhanced Skyrim Factions – The Companion Guild
Enhanced Skyrim Factions – The Companions Guild features an expansion that improves upon the vanilla game. It adds a time-consuming main quest line and changes a lot of the main quests that I used to do, such as the Radiantforest and the haunted keep. The main problem I had with the vanilla game, is the amount of times I would have to wait for a steward or other character to talk to me, before I could do anything in the game. This would really get dull after a while. So I decided to make my own time requirements for the milestones in the guild story, so that the story progression would be more engaging and enjoyable.
The result was a major overhaul of the way in which I do the quests in the game, with the help of a few mods. Firstly I reduced the amount of time I needed to idle between quests by 10%, this greatly increased the speed at which I completed all the quests in the game. Secondly, I made sure to always finish all the Story quests, which were very few and far between in vanilla Skyward Sword, they made the story feel a bit weak, as there were not enough of them. So I increased the number of radiant quests required for the guild’s milestone story, which also greatly increased the challenge.
The result was a much bigger game with much more content than I first thought it would have. Now there are over 20 hours of new quests, new areas to explore and a whole new story. It also has a lot more overall content than the game originally had, it also has a lot more of the features that you would expect from a fantasy role playing game, like customizable gear and items, and player housing. For the most part the game plays much the same as it did when I first played it, but I found there are some things that could be made better, and now that I’ve finished the game, I can do what I want, and I’m glad I tried it. I recommend the game to anyone who hasn’t played it yet, because it really does have a lot of replay value.
